LOS ANGELES, celebrities.id - Heide Ferrer, screenwriter of the popular series Dawson's Creek, ended his life on May 26, 2021. The sad news was conveyed by Nick Guthe, the late husband via Twitter.

In his tweet, Guthe revealed, Ferrer committed suicide after being infected with Covid-19 for 1 full year. According to him, since being diagnosed with Covid-19 in April 2020, Ferrer has only been bedridden because he often experiences severe neurological tremors.
"My angel Heidi passed away after 13 months of fighting Covid-19," Guthe wrote in his Twitter post as quoted on Sunday (20/6/2021).
Nick Guthe added, “Heide Ferrer is a wonderful mother. He fought the vicious virus with all the strength he had within him. I love you forever and until we meet again," he wrote.
Quoting TMZ, Heide Ferrer wrote about his struggle against Covid-19 through his personal blog, girltomom.com, in September 2020. In that post, he seemed to have given an idea of what he would do if he did not recover from Covid-19.
"I told my husband, if I don't get better, I don't want to live like this. This is not suicide. I just saw, there's no point in living long but with an unclear ending like this," said the late in his blog.
Heide Ferrer who was born in Kansas, United States, moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress in the '80s. But in the end, he went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and became a screenwriter.
His debut work, The C Word, was purchased by Oscar-winning producer Arnold Kopelson. From here, according to Deadline, Heide Ferrer produced the screenplay of Dawson's Creek and Wasteland which made his prestige even more prominent as a screenwriter. /celebrities.id
