Court Lady tells the story of the love of a war general and an ordinary woman. After marriage, the wife was brought by her husband to the royal environment of the Tang dynasty, China.
As the eldest son of a prestigious family who achieved outstanding military achievements, Sheng Chu Mu was pampered and only knew how to enjoy life. He got the title of biggest playboy in Changan (capital of Tang dynasty).
One day, he followed a friend to Guangzhou. There he meets the daughter of a local merchant, Fu Rou, and instantly falls in love with her extraordinary beauty.
The first set of episodes focuses on Sheng Chu Mu trying to win Fu Rou's heart. There were many funny scenes when Sheng Chu Mu tried to get close to Fu Rou.
After getting married, Sheng Chu Mu and Fu Rou had to face countless obstacles and trials.
While Sheng Chu Mu became a general and eventually went to war, Fu Rou was appointed as the court lady in charge of sewing and embroidery.
