Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley announced that Rihanna was named the country's National Hero. The announcement was made during a ceremony held in the capital Bridgetown on November 30.
"On behalf of the nation, we present to you the person appointed as the National Hero of Barbados, Robyn Rihanna Fenty," said Mia Mottley as quoted from the Instagram account @ajplus.
