The 2022 Golden Globes Held Without a Red Carpet, Why?
This year's prestigious film and television awards show in America, the Golden Globes, will be held without a red carpet.

As reported by Page Six, Wednesday (5/1/2022), the 2022 Golden Globes confirmed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) this year will be held on Sunday 9 January and will be held without a red carpet.

That is, the audience will not see a row of appearances of luxurious dresses designed by designers or expensive tuxedos from celebrities and nominees who attended.

The HFPA President, Helen Hoehne, revealed the scenario without a red carpet in December 2021.

“I think we all know that the 2022 Golden Globes are not going to be the celebrity-heavy event they were in the past. There was no red carpet and nothing flashy," Helen said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter at the time.

Not only will it be held without a red carpet, this year's Golden Globes will also not be broadcast by NBC, a television station known for its faithful broadcasting of the Golden Globes from year to year.

In May 2021, NBC announced that it would not be broadcasting the 2022 Golden Globes, citing the HFPA's need for post-protest reforms over racism.

Yes, the HFPA came under fire in February 2021 for not including black members in its 87-member membership. /celebrties.id
