Mae Planert, Mark Normand's wife, was their bride in 2022.

Mark Normand, a comedian, met Mae Planert while performing stand-up comedy.

The pair initially met when Normand was performing standup satire in New York City, and they dated for quite a long time prior to getting taken part in July 2021. In November 2022, they tied the knot.

Planert, who has a vocation in brand organizations, shared on an episode of the Spouse of the Party Web recording that she did a "buzzword comic sweetheart thing" and turned into a comic herself, however prefers to keep distance between them with regards to work.

She provided the following explanation: "I didn't want to be cliche, and I didn't want to use him for anything, so I've been really focused on keeping our careers separate." Although his career is clearly distinct from mine, I wanted to ensure that I was working on my own."

Who then is the wife of Mark Normand? Everything you need to know about Mae Planert and the comedian she dated can be found here.

Planert spent his childhood in Sandwich, Massachusetts, about 60 miles from Boston. She played goalie for the girls' hockey team at Thayer Academy. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in media communications from Roger Williams University in 2012 and received her diploma.

After graduating from college, she worked as a global education consultant for Education First in Boston before moving to New York to work as an account executive for Gilt, LinkedIn, and SEVENROOMS.

Planert has been working for SKEEPERS since 2019, where she helps brands and creators form partnerships.

At The Stand Comedy Club in New York City, Planert was out on a date with another person when she saw Normand performing live. She communicated with the comedian via Facebook the following day after saying her farewells to her date and receiving some words of encouragement from her roommate.

"I take it we're in love now because we made eye contact last night?" She wrote about a joke he had made on stage the night before about how he was so awkward that if a woman made eye contact with him, they would fall in love.

After six years, Normand proposed in July 2021 during her family's yearly outing to Martha's Grape plantation.

Planert has performed standup comedy all over the country in addition to her corporate job.

I'm about to discover that I'm more of a writer than a stand-up comedian. I enjoy the standup community. On the Wife of the Party Podcast, she shared, "It's just a good time and you meet a lot of really fun people."

Planert went on to say, "I like it when something bad happens to me that I say, "Okay, good." I can make this into a joke,' rather than being like, 'Damn, that entire, that s- - - - - thing happened to me.' Therefore, it appears as though you never stop writing.

On November 10, 2022, Normand and Planert tied the knot in New Orleans. In a historic garden, fellow comedian Sean Patton performed the ceremony.

The couple hired Bailey Rose Events to plan the big day, which included things like a second line parade through the French Quarter, espresso martinis poured down a custom ice luge, live painting, and more.

"I'm certain each lady of the hour says this, yet wedding dress shopping was at the same time my main thing and my most un-main thing," Planert told Ecstatic.

She accessorized with a cape from Etsy, a Lelet NY headpiece, Jeffrey Campbell heels, and a dress from Lela Rose.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Amsterdam and South Africa following their wedding.

Along with fellow comedian Laura Sogar, Planert is the co-host of the Risque Business News podcast.

Planert and Sogar, which will go live in December 2020, will provide weekly commentary on current news, in-depth reviews of various brands, and other topics.

Between her work adventures and Normand's, the pair can have clashing timetables now and again, however Planert says keeping up with autonomy in her marriage is something she appreciates.

She stated to Wife of the Party Podcast host LeeAnn Kreischer, "You know what I think is interesting is that I'm totally fine with, you know, being independent, doing things on my own, and going places on my own."
